High Spur is a great canyon in the Robber's Roost area. It has one mandatory rappel, and some great narrows that rival Antelope Canyon, in Arizona. Usually a dry canyon, but with potential to have a lot of water. We went a few days after a storm and did a lot of wading chest deep. A group a couple days before us had to do a lot of swimming. Don't go into any of these canyons unless you know what you're doing and are properly prepared! |
